Renal Pathologist
The Department of Pathology at the University of Washington is seeking an Assistant/Associate Professor with a specialty interest in renal pathology. Candidates must have an M.D., and experience in renal biopsy interpretation, including at least one year of clinical fellowship in renal pathology or equivalent experience. Competence in Electron Microscopy is desirable. The successful candidate should possess strong interpersonal skills and will be expected to participate in resident, fellow and medical student education as well as clinical, translational, or basic science research activities. Applicants must be AP board certified at the time of appointment and be eligible for licensure in Washington State. A strong record of publications is desirable. The University of Washington is home to a particularly rich referral base for renal pathology, currently accessioning 1400 cases/year that can provide a basis for a strong research program. Collaborative clinical and academic relationships with members of the Divisions of Nephrology and Transplantation, and the recently established Kidney Research Institute are excellent.

Dermatopathologist
The Pathology and Laboratory Medicine Division of the Veterans Affairs Puget Sound Health Care System (VAPSHCS) invites applications for the position of Dermatopathologist. The VAPSHCS is a University of Washington-affiliated tertiary, referral hospital system with major research and teaching programs and a very active Dermatology service. Applicants must have an MD or MD/PhD degree, and be Board certified in Anatomic Pathology and Dermatopathology. The successful candidate will provide specific leadership for the Dermatopathology Service of the VAPSHCS and participate in the Anatomic/Surgical Pathology diagnostic services of the VAPSHCS and the University of Washington. The incumbent will demonstrate an academic record of original contributions to the field of Dermatopathology, and qualify for appointment at the rank of Assistant/Associate Professor in the Department of Anatomic Pathology at the University of Washington School of Medicine. The candidate will be expected to participate in the training/teaching programs of the University and to develop an individual and/or collaborative research program.
