TGFBR1 and TGFBR2 Genomic Sequencing
The Collagen Diagnostic Laboratory offers DNA testing from blood of the TGF-beta receptor genes, TGFBR1 on chromosome 9 and TGFBR2 on chromosome 3. The genes are studied simultaneously. Using genomic DNA, 9 exons of the TGFBR1 gene and 7 exons of the TGFBR2 gene are amplified using flanking intron primers and sequenced by automated sequencing (ABI 310).Sensitivity: Unknown as the phenotype is newly identified.
