• Interpretation of histopathology glass slides of dermatopathology specimens on routine hematoxylin and eosin stains and special stains.
• Preparation of histopathology glass slides from paraffin-embedded tissue blocks, formalin-fixed and fresh tissues.
• Interpretation of immunohistochemical stains, immunofluorescence specimens, and molecular biologic results in conjunction with H&E stained slides.

Zsolt B. Argenyi, M.D.

Professor Pathology and Dermatology

Dr. Argenyi has had more than 22 years of experience in consultative dermatopathology. He is Board certified in Pathology and Dermatology with Specialty Qualification Certification in Dermatopathology. Besides the routine spectrum of dermatopathology, he has special interest in melanocytic lesions, mycosis fungoides, adnexal tumors, and cutaneous soft tissue tumors.

Paul E. Swanson, M.D.

Dr. Swanson has more than 15 years of experience in surgical pathology and consultative immunohistochemistry. He has published as co-author on
cutaneous adnexal neoplasms and has written widely on the application of immunohistochemistry to cutenous adnexal and soft tissue neoplasms. Dr. Swanson is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology.

Evan George, M.D.
Assistant Professor, UW Medicine Dermatopathology

Dr. George completed anatomic and clinical pathology residency as well as a fellowship in surgical pathology and then spent 13 years in general community hospital pathology practice. In 2005, Dr. George completed a fellowship in dermatopathology and afterwards joined our faculty. Areas of special interest include dermatopathology, melanocytic lesions, and immunohistochemistry.

Brent L. Wood, M.D., Ph.D.

Dr. Wood is Board Certified in Hematology, Anatomic and Clinical Pathology. He has special interest in cutaneous lymphomas and flow cytometry.
