Electron Microscopy
The Electron Microscopy Laboratory is located in the UW Medical Center, Room NW-279. We are normally staffed from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Our main service is providing electron microscopy micrographs for patient diagnosis. We routinely process biopsies/specimens into plastic medium, cut one micron sections of the specimen and select samples of these sections for thin sectioning. We take approximately twelve micrographs per case. Turnaround time from submission is a maximum of four working days. We are available for consultation for all EM procedures.
