Why Attend? Big Data in Transplantation: Systems Biology Insights into Graft-versus-Host Disease Dr. Kean's laboratory is focused on understanding mechanisms of immune tolerance after hematopoietic stem cell transplant, and how that tolerance is broken during graft-versus-host disease (GVHD). She has developed large animal and patient studies to determine the mechanisms driving GVHD, and applies transcriptomic approaches to uncover novel strategies to prevent and treat this disease.

Big Data in Transplantation: Systems Biology Insights into Graft-versus-Host Disease

Dr.
