Clinical and Research Background

Dr. Koch is an Acting Assistant Professor in the Department of Pathology at the University of Washington, Division of Gastrointestinal and Hepatic Pathology. Dr. Koch’s research interest is in the pathogenesis and treatment of inflammatory bowel disease. She is currently working to characterize the T cell response to commensal organisms with the goal of identifying IBD-specific signatures that can be used in the clinical management of IBD patients, as well as clarifying disease etiology.
