Loeb Appointed a Fellow of AAAS

Dr. Lawrence Loeb, Professor of Biochemistry and Pathology and principal investigator of the Loeb Lab, is one of four University of Washington professors newly elected as a fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.  Dr. Loeb’s research is centered on the role of mutations in the initiation and progression of human cancers.  The goal of his lab is to understand the relationships between DNA damage, mutations and cancer.
