Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences has published a study led by Jeff Krimmel, UW Medical Student, and Rosana Risques, Assistant Professor of Pathology, on cancer-associated gene mutations using UW-created DNA duplex sequencing technology.  This is the technology's first published application in human cancer detection.

A press release on the study can be found on UW Medicine’s online news site, HSNewsBeat.
