GRADUATE PROGRAM IN MOLECULAR BASIS OF DISEASE
New and returning graduate students gathered on September 21 for the annual autumn retreat. Senior students Bethany cool,
Richard Fox, Paul Keire, Thomas Nhan, and Will Driscoll gave presentations of their research work. At lunchtime the students
and faculty grabbed a box lunch and headed for Lake Union. They spent the afternoon in a scavenger hunt by boat on the lake.
It was a chilly but fun way for everyone to get to know each other.
At the end of lunch, Kathy Hobson, the Graduate Program Advisor, was recognized for her 20 years of service to the University of
Washington.
