The Pathology Histology Laboratory is a service center in the medical school, it provides histological techniques to researchers in the Health Science Departments, and other faculty in life sciences e.g. Fisheries, Forestry and Nutrition Departments. The laboratory was established by Dr. Earl Benditt when he was the chairmen of the Pathology Department. It provides services for research in tissue analysis and clinic special biopsys. Through years of experience and modern equipment, we provide service in analysis of animal tissues in our lab. We specialize in many areas: making different types of blocks for light microscopy, special stains in histochemistry and antibody immunocytochemistry, cryostat sections, and electron microscopy embedding. Services include the following: Make paraffin, Metharylate plastic, Frozen blocks. Section and stain. Immunocytochemistry and make Electron Microscopy blocks.
