Procedures
We ask that you please arrive on time or at least a few minutes before your scheduled appointment time in order to maximize usage of the flow cytometer.
Here is what you need to bring. For any analysis or sorting experiment:- Your budget number!!
- Your samples resuspended at a concentration of at least 500,000/ml up to 25 million/ml - we can accomodate lower concentrations if needed, but please speak to us beforehand and let us know what concentration you plan to bring.
- Your samples should be in 5 ml polystyrene round-bottom tubes (Falcon 352052) - we have these tubes in the lab, so you can transfer them once you get here. Tubes must be labeled.
- A clearly written list of what is in each tube (either on paper or on the tube); positive, negative, sample #, etc. We will save your data according to what is written either on the tubes or on your list.

Practices
What we can do for you:- Two-way sorting - 5ml polystyrene tubes, microcentrifuge tubes, 15ml tubes.
- Sterile Sorting for tissue culture, upon request.
- Post-processing analysis - cell cycle or multi-color.
- Samples can be cooled or heated in the sample chamber if they are temperature sensitive.
- Time can be monitored and results plotted on a time course for all experiments.
